Who is responsible

Crib & Cradle is edited and operated by Adrián González Chico. Contact adrian.contact.me.69@gmail.com about our handling of personal information. Google and other advertising providers also have responsibilities for their processing, described in their notices and the consent message.

Information and purposes

This is a public article site without reader accounts, comments, newsletters, checkout or separate analytics tags. Search runs in your browser using a static article index; we do not store a search history. If you use the light and dark switch, your choice is saved in your own browser (local storage, under the name theme) so the next page opens the same way; it is never sent to us, and clearing site data removes it. That preference is strictly necessary for a feature you asked for, so it does not need consent. Cloudflare Pages delivers the site. Network delivery and security can involve IP address, requested URL, browser information, timestamps and technical logs. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any information you choose to include. We use it to respond to questions, corrections, privacy requests and copyright complaints. Do not send sensitive medical information, identity documents or payment details in an initial message.

Google advertising and cookies

Content pages use Google AdSense automatic advertising. Google and third-party advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, IP address, approximate location and browsing information to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud and, where allowed, personalize advertising. Google uses advertising cookies to show ads based on previous visits to this and other websites. Advertising partners may collect information across different sites.

See how Google uses information from partner sites, Google’s advertising technology policy and Google My Ad Center to manage personalized advertising. Turning off personalization does not necessarily eliminate cookies or all advertising.

Europe, the UK and Switzerland

Where EU or UK data protection law applies, we rely on legitimate interests for proportionate site delivery, security and answering ordinary correspondence; on legal obligations where required; and on consent for nonessential advertising storage and personalization where required. These purposes are separate: legitimate interests do not replace required cookie consent. The Google-certified CMP configured through AdSense Privacy & messaging provides the European consent message and vendor choices.

Use the consent message to refuse or manage advertising choices. Use the Google privacy and cookie settings link at the bottom of an article or section to reopen that message and withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. If a control is unavailable, contact us and include the page URL and region; browser cookie controls are also available.

Depending on applicable law, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and complain to a data protection authority. Because the site is operated from Spain, the lead authority is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos; you can also contact the authority where you live or, in the UK, the Information Commissioner. Some rights have exceptions. We normally respond within one month where GDPR applies, and explain any lawful extension.

US state privacy: do not sell or share

California’s CCPA, as amended by CPRA, and other state privacy laws can provide rights to know or access information, correct it, delete it, obtain a copy, limit certain sensitive-data uses and opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising. Coverage and exceptions vary by state and by the business. We do not sell reader information for payment; advertising disclosures can still be considered sale or sharing under these laws.

Use the Google Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information message or footer link where available. The US state regulations message configured in AdSense communicates your advertising opt-out to Google. Google documents that it receives Global Privacy Control signals and triggers restricted data processing for applicable US states. Browser Do Not Track is not a separate consent choice implemented by this site.

You can also email adrian.contact.me.69@gmail.com to request applicable rights or appeal a decision where your state provides that right. We do not require an account or discriminate because you exercise privacy rights. We may request proportionate verification for access or deletion, but do not require identity verification for an advertising opt-out. We explain the response and applicable deadlines: California generally allows 45 days for access/deletion/correction and up to 15 business days for opt-out requests. See the California Attorney General’s privacy rights guidance.

Retention, recipients and transfers

We retain correspondence only as needed to resolve the matter, maintain an appropriate correction or rights-request record, and meet legal obligations; unnecessary personal details should be removed. Hosting, email and advertising providers have their own retention periods and security practices. Cookie storage durations and vendors are described in the Google consent settings and provider policies, rather than a single duration for every cookie.

Cloudflare, Google and email providers may process data internationally, including in the United States. Where applicable, transfers require safeguards such as an applicable adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses; provider privacy notices describe their arrangements. Contact us to request more information about processing for which we are responsible. No online service can promise absolute security.

Children

This site is written for adult parents and caregivers, not for babies or children. This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly solicit their personal information. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information should contact us so we can assess and remove it where appropriate.

Changes and contact

The date above records the latest policy revision. Material changes are described here before new practices apply. Send questions and requests to adrian.contact.me.69@gmail.com, identifying this site and the request. Do not send sensitive documents unless a suitable verification method has been agreed.
